Older Americans Month 2016- Mr. Carrico

#OAM16 Today Kaiser Home Support Services would like recognize a truly trailblazing american, Joseph C. Carrico. Like so many of his generation he answered Uncle Sam’s call and joined the US Navy during WWII. Mr. Carrico served is time in the Atlantic aboard Destroyer Escort 182- The USS Gustafson. In 2012 Joe joined fellow WWII veterans on an Honor Flight to go to the nation’s Capital and see the WWII memorial. Mr. Carrico says he has always had a great love for his country.

He and his late wife, Margaret raised 5 children and a foster son. Those kids say that he is a great dad who was always, and still is very involved in his children’s lives.

His kids,8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren and everyone else who knows him loves his sense of humor and practical jokes.
Besides spending time with his family and planning and playing practical jokes, Joe, who is 92, also enjoys gardening, reading, debating politics and spending time on his computer.
